The Journey into the past can be fascinating. Mine started after buying a paperback book at the Hallmark Store in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. The book was written by a local author of the area, detailing the somewhat lawless past of Mitchell County, NC. In said book was an account of my Great-Grandfather which entailed his demise at the hand of a lynchmob in Bakersville, NC.
